It certainly does sound like bs.
This is really disappointing.sixstringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11990051566697010428noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16801508.post-32565013100516066132009-04-08T06:13:00.000-05:002009-04-08T06:13:00.000-05:00Here is what I have learned about this.It isn't th...Here is what I have learned about this.

It isn't the 2007 bill because that was never passed out of committee. It was assigned to subcommittee where it died because of Paul DeMarco and Spencer Collier and Steve McMillan.

The 2006 bill is what she meant to say and it was the worst bill ever because it mandated that the medical marijuana would have to be distributed by an FDA approved pharmacy...which pretty much gutted the bill because marijuana is not an FDA approved medicine and therefore cannot be sold in a regular pharmacy.

I don't want that bill passed. None of the patients I am working with want that bill passed because it is a USELESS bill that does not provide for how patients get their supply. If we wanted that bill passed we would have introduced that bill again last year and this year.

And how come it took two weeks to discover this 'mistake'? I'm not buying any of these excuses.

What this new development means is that the session is over for us. Even if they pass the shitty 2006 bill there is no time left to get it through the rules committee and then to the house floor for a debate. SO we are right back where we started from....for the sixth year.

I see all of this as political fuckery. Somebody, somewhere doesn't want this bill to come up and I think they may have gotten to Rep. Todd. If that is the case then I will be real disappointed in her for cowing down on an issue that she supposedly believes in with all her heart.

I think maybe it is time for some serious direct action at the Alabama state house. Playing nice isn't working out so well. Its time to get nasty.Loretta Nallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10598106614871958352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16801508.post-89925653931828826972009-04-08T05:44:00.000-05:002009-04-08T05:44:00.000-05:00From what Rep Todd said, it sounds like she’s goin...From what Rep Todd said, it sounds like she’s going to present to the committee a bill that is the same as the 2007 bill, which you say we don’t want. We need some clarification from her.Donhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10799732509238959026noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16801508.post-63483219172966876692009-04-07T15:44:00.000-05:002009-04-07T15:44:00.000-05:00I'm not sure what it means really. It was never passed so it makes no sense to me that the 2007 bill would have anything to do with this bill. This is the bill we want passed. It is the same one introduced (but never placed on the calendar) last year. We don't want the 2007 bill.Loretta Nallhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10598106614871958352noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-16801508.post-57273177033682177272009-04-07T15:18:00.000-05:002009-04-07T15:18:00.000-05:00Does this mean the wording in the bill we have bee...Does this mean the wording in the bill we have been reading is not what will be voted on?sixstringhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11990051566697010428noreply@blogger.com
