Thanks for the Birthday Wishes
I woke up to an inbox full of Happy Birthday messages from people all over the globe. Thanks to all of you who knew and took the time to wish me a happy one. That means a lot.
If you are wondering...I am 32 today. With the crippling flare-up of osteoporosis in my cervical spine right now I feel about 90. However, last week someone I recently began working with on social justice issues asked my age and told me they thought I was in my early 20's but knew that couldn't be right because I knew and understood too much about how things are in the prisons, government and court system and because you have to be at least 30 to run for Governor.
It was nice to know that I still look like a kid to someone besides the folks who still card me for alcohol and tobacco.
