Today is the Day

I have spent the last four years of my life gearing up for this day. I am so excited I am sick to my stomach.

I owe thanks to my many supporters from across Alabama and the entire world and I owe many thanks to the Alabama media for all of their coverage of my campaign. I realize, as a write-in candidate, that none of them had to cover me or my campaign at all. Yet...many of them did and continued to do so even after our attempt at ballot access failed.

I think I owe the biggest part of that media thanks to Tim Lennox at For the Record , Phil Rawls & Rob Carr at the Associated Press , WAKA Channel 8 News (the 5 o'clock crew) in Montgomery and let's not forget Bob Martin at the Montgomery Independent and good ole Bob Ingram both of which had a hand in making the twins famous. All of these media folks covered me from the outset and never really let up...thereby keeping me in the minds of the Alabama voters. I don't think I would have had nearly as much success without their coverage and I want them to know I am most grateful.

So, get to the polls today. WRITE MY NAME IN ON THE BALLOT

L O R E T T A _______N A L L

Call your favorite talk radio station and tell them you are writing in my name. Load up your automobile with family, friends and co-workers and get them to the polls with you. With your help....I just might pull this thing off yet.

Then come out to 2330 Highland Ave. South in BHAM tonight beginning at 630 to watch the returns with me. There will be food and spirits provided.

I'll see you there.

Here is my ballot. A little blurry....guess my hand was shaking a little or something.

Congrats Ms. Nall on bringing attention to issues ignored by the major political parties. Thanks for your courage, and keep up the good work. You may not win, but you raised awareness. Cheers.

Loretta whatever the outcome this state is better because you ran. You have brought attention to major issues as well as demonstrated the tenacity that makes this country great!!

As an Alabamian I just want to say thank you for that :-)

Thanks y'all. It means a great deal to me that my fellow Alabamians are happy with my campaign and proud of me.

I can't wait to see what the day holds.

>2330 Highland Ave. South

Is this a residence or a buisness (a bar, etc.)

Yep, what the others said. I just got home from the polls in Holly Pond after writing you in, Loretta. Thank you for all you've done.

Congratulations!

I haven't voted yet, but in a couple hours I will vote for you!

Except replace the "you" in the sentence above with "Bob Riley".

I just got back from writing ya in... now I gotta try to make the party tonight!

Thanks for running, you have my vote today from Fairhope in Baldwin County.

I voted for you. I was displeased with the way Bob Riley has handled things the past four years, and Lucy Baxley's hostile attitude completely turned me off her. Thanks for not being either of those two.

Hi Loretta:

My wife and I just got back from the polls. Count yourself two votes from precinct 4403 (Mountain View Baptist Church 5568 Chalkville Road)
Regardless of the outcome we want to thank you for giving us a real choice in this state. Whether we win or not, a vote for a real choice and real change is NEVER wasted. Thank you so much, Loretta!

You got my vote and my husband's vote (Millbrook, Elmore County). Thank you for the way you turned this thing around. You are truly one of "us" and that's what we need in office.

American elections are a spectacle for individuals the world over but the race for Alabama governor in particular will attract a number of watchful eyes this evening. I am very curious to see how this will all turn out. Best of luck Loretta...I personally am convinced that you have a shot...who knows, you may be getting a letter from some guy in Saskatchewan in just a few weeks asking for a tour of the governor’s residence.

Cheers

I wasnt even going to vote if it wasnt for you Ms. Nall. I wrote you in as did my wife. You give all of us hope that Alabama can change for the better.

Florence, Lauderdale County.

The easiest thing I did on the ballot was write-in Loretta Nall as the Gov'ner. All other bubbles took time to fill in. I will be at the party. I will be voting for you again in 4 years.

THANK YOU, LORETTA

We are still with you now and the future!!!!

Ms. Nall, you got several votes from the happy hour patrons at Cancun Rest. & Bar in Tuscaloosa, home of the shot named for you, The Loretta Nall (two side-by-side Slippery Nipple shots :-)). At least six votes from our bunch (most voted at Univ Mall, Tusc). Found out about you late in the race this time - we'll be on board sooner for your next election! Will be in touch privately and non-anonymously after the dust settles. Can't wait to see your final count!

Any word on how many write-ins you got?

I voted for you. Thank you for existing as a political candidate. I'm a 7th Grade Civics teacher, and I tell my children constantly, "Vote for someone who believes in what you do, not for someone who belongs to such and such political party."

I voted for you, Loretta! It felt so good after all these years to finally vote for someone I truly want to be governed by, instead of for a "lesser evil". Thank you for running, and I hope to see your name on the ballot next time instead of having to write you in (I will be watching your web page for info on how to help with that when the time comes, I learned about you too late to help this time)
