I'm not sure - you may be over-reacting to this.
It took me quite a few minutes to figure out what the problem was about the issue. I kept reading it as 'count' and looking elsewhere for something that would upset you.
And does fault really reside with CNN? It's an AP Photo, why not blame them. And really, shouldn't the person had made their O's a little wider? There's no confusion about the much more legible sign in the bottom left.
There's a lot to be upset about with regards to the media, this cannot be the most severe thing.

AP photos are taken by professional, trained photographers and sold to news networks like CNN for LOTS of money. LOTS. I've worked in/with the media for a number of years now. I'm no feminist but feel certain this photo was a deliberate swipe at women. It was certainly no accident.
