What No One Is Saying about McCain's Latest Move

So,McCain who, by his own repeated admissions, knows NOTHING about the economy, is trying to score political points by insinuating that by suspending his campaign, canceling his appearance at the debates and returning to Washington he can help fix the economy.

WTF?

How exactly?

For anyone who believes that tripe....Your Proctologist called....He found your head!

The most brilliant move ever by a politician. There is nothing absolute in having the debate on a certain day, so he's using this as a leverage. He's actually sitting in DC...doing mostly nothing but acting as a senator. Every minute that Obama doesn't play the same game....he looks like someone who has no priorities with the nation, and whose single priority is a debate which doesn't have to happen or can happen next week. The same problem occurs if another hurricane comes toward Bama or Texas...the debates will be canceled for that event as well.

Face it folks...life goes on...whether you have a debate or not. And to be wise about this...we really didn't put so much weight into debates until thirty years ago. Has anything really improved in politics in thirty years? No...and thats the sad thing. So much weight on a debate, and you count each single sound byte. Washington, Madison, and Jefferson would never have been elected if debate mattered in their time.

Respectfully, I disagree. McCain looks incapable of attending to two things at once. McCain is coming off as old school Washington.

I also respectfully disagree Ripley. McCain looks scared and is ducking out. The American people NEED and WANT this debate. I'd say it is probably more important than any in my lifetime thus far.

Considering the current situation, if there is a debate, the subject of it should be changed from foreign relations to the economic crisis. But I doubt that either one of them has a clue about what to do about it because they've never studied, nor do they understand, economics. Maybe they could ask Texas Congressman Ron Paul to stand in for both of them because he is recognized by members of congress on both sides of the aisle as the most knowlegeable person in Washington on economics.
