I'll miss you Trixie King

The only bad thing about incumbent Attorney General Troy King losing is that I will now have to retire Trixie the Pig :(

Oh well, she had a nice long career alongside Troy and was his constant companion in nearly every J.D. Crowe editorial cartoon drawn since November 2007, when I gifted Troy with her.

So long, Trixie.

PS...Did anyone else happen to notice that Troy King gave his concession speech to an entirely empty room last night? There were a handful of people standing behind him, but not a soul in the audience. How humiliating for TK.

BHAM News calls Troy King a "Weak Sister"

No Seriously.....They Did!!

Attorney General Troy King has worked hard to shoot down the perception he's a weak sister on gambling.

NO TROY...Don't Shoot the Pig!

Today's Installment of "I Wish Stupid Hurt"

Today's "I Wish Stupid Hurt" post is dedicated to none other than our own super-conflicted Attorney General Troy King.

What did he do now, you ask? Well, it appears that ol Troy Boy has changed his stance on gambling right before the 2010 election. That, in and of itself, might lead some of you to believe that Troy is moving in a progressive direction. But, do not be deceived, dear readers. He just wants the money from gambling for his campaign.

From AL.com Troy King Attends Party hosted by Gambling Developers then forces Sheriff to Issue Electronic Bingo Permits

Three months before he issued a legal opinion that clears the way for a developer to get a gambling permit in Houston County, Attorney General Troy King was one of the featured guests at a party thrown by the developer.

Houston County Sheriff Andy Hughes said the legal viability of Ronnie Gilley's proposed Country Crossing development was at stake, and the opinion told Hughes he has no choice but to issue a bingo permit once certain conditions have been met.

King's chief of staff, Chris Bence, said his boss was traveling Friday and unavailable to answer questions. Bence said there was no conflict of interest in King attending the party and his office issuing the opinion.

The invitation for the party Jan. 24, 2008, at Gilley's home mentioned three names -- two famous country music singers and King's.

Join country music legend George Jones to welcome in the New Year. Shake off the winter cold as you dance among the hay bales and listen to a special performance by country music superstar John Anderson. Come dressed for fun and join Attorney General Troy King for a bash you'll never forget!"

At the event, Gilley called upon King to address the crowd, according to guests.

Remember this is the same Troy King who in 2004 (I think) dressed up in SWAT gear complete with helmet and flak jacket and stormed an electronic bingo hall in Troy, Alabama?

And the same one who took box seats at a braves game from Alabama Power? And asked Roy Johnson who was head of the two year college system to hire the mother of a friend while he was investigating Johnson and others in the two year college system for hiring friends and relatives? The same one who wanted to ban sex toys? The same one who openly spews hatred against homosexuality, yet is rumored by many to be gay himself.

Please vote this joke out of office in 2010. I'm running out of vulgar and insulting things to send him. Its a real shame that there isn't an inflatable slot machine that shows three dildos in a row. That'd be perfect.

"WHEW" That Was Close!

Troy King Announces Another Run for Attorney General after it is announced that he is under Federal investigation.

I'm just glad he isn't running for Governor. On the other hand why would a just God, if there is one, punish the good people of Alabama with four more years of this asshole? We've already had six and four more will be nearly unbearable not to mention two more than he would be eligible to serve and we would have to suffer through had he not been appointed by Riley in the first place. I think King's appointment to AG is the worst mistake Riley has ever made.

King is the laughing stock of the state. Not that I haven't had my fun yanking his spiked leather dog collar from time to time, but, as much fun as it has been to be his tormentor I'd be much happier to have a competent AG in Montgomery than a whipping boy for my blog.

So, aside from King who do my readers think should run for Attorney General? I predict that John Tyson will run again. Had it not been for Larry Darby then Tyson would probably have trounced King in the 2006 election. I'd personally like to see Charles Salvagio run for AG, but his practice brings him far more money and recognition than an AG post would. Will Luther Strange run? Rob Riley?

Troy King Shock and Awe Investigation

Our favorite editorial cartoonist JD Crowe at the Press-Register is at it again with this Troy King toon

Love the toon JD...but where's the pig? Troy just don't look right without his pig.

Monday, November 24, 2008

Oh Please NOOOOOOOOO!

King relies on small-town values as he mulls a gubernatorial run

Will we never be rid of this clown?

King said that he ultimately will turn to his faith and his family to decide on a possible gubernatorial campaign.

The real question is, What kind of first lady will J.W. Godwin make?

Or, will Trixie the pig be the first lady?

Maybe we'll get really lucky and there will be a cat fight between J.W. and Trixie. I'd pay to see that.

Here's the money quote though...

Ferrin Cox, publisher of the Elba Clipper, has known King since childhood and said the community had an enormous affect on him. Cox remembers King as a "clean-cut kid" who got in trouble occasionally but was always honest.

"If Troy tells me it's fixing to rain, I'm going to get my umbrella," Cox said.

Though the two remain friends, Cox said, he has disagreed with some of King's actions as attorney general and would likely have differences with a Gov. King.

"I think he would do as he's done as attorney general: He would offend other people," Cox said. "He would put his high moral standards and beliefs above what is politically correct
."

That means he will ignore the will of the people and do exactly what he pleases. Sounds a lot like George W. Bush to me and I think Alabamian's have had their fill of that particular kind of politics.

High moral standards?

Muhahahahahaha.

Makes you wonder??

Troy King Continues to Support the Death Penalty for Child Rapists

While I agree that child rapists are the vilest of vile creatures, I also agree with the Supreme Court's decision not to impose the death penalty on them if no one died. I think the death penalty should only be imposed when a life has been taken and only in certain cases then. I think all death row inmates should have access to DNA testing in cases where they might be exonerated. I've been inside many Alabama prisons and my opinion is that life in prison without parole is a much harsher sentence than the death penalty. If they would lock these sick fucks up for LIFE then we wouldn't have to worry about them. The sentences for molesting a child in Alabama are abhorrent. Pot smokers routinely get more time than child molesters.

Troy King's desire to preach against child molesters and holler for the death penalty reminds me of how he preached against gay people in college only to be suspected of being gay himself. Makes one wonder.....

Speaking of that gay thing....I spoke with a reporter yesterday who attended the Republican Convention and I asked them if Troy was there with his wife. They told me that they saw Troy a number of times but never saw his wife, although it was rumored that he was there with her. They said most everybody was with their spouses at the daily breakfast meeting...he was noticeably alone. This reporter told me that Troy sat alone most of the time talking on his cell phone. No word on whether JW Godwin was in attendance.

Troy King Alert!

Two pieces about Troy King today.

First this piece from Huffington Post

Alabama Attorney General Seeks End of "Bunny Bliss" -- Will Launch Rabbit Hunt
(This article has some inaccuracies. Everything said about Troy King being gay is still a rumor at this point. Troy will neither admit nor deny so most people have already made up their minds that he is, in fact, gay, but that isn't proof. Also, he has not resigned from John McCain's campaign as Alabama Chair. Troy was in Mobile last week campaigning for McCain.)

Then for some serious laughing our friend J.D. Crowe, editorial cartoonist for the Mobile Press-Register, has another toon tease posted involving Troy King. The actual toon will be posted on his website later today.

UPDATE: The toon is now posted.

Sex Toys for Troy King makes Huffington Post

WOOT!

Sex Toys: Find out which states still outlaw them

The creators of Ms. Piglet, an inflatable blow-up sex doll, probably had many uses in mind when they conceived of her, but chances are they never thought she'd grace the floors of an Attorney General's office--at least not as a political ploy.

But in November 2007, Ms. Piglet was sent to Troy King, the Alabama Attorney General, as part of the "Sex Toys for Troy" campaign. The brainchild of Loretta Nall, a former libertarian gubernatorial candidate and political activist, the campaign is in protest to the state's Anti-Obscenity Enforcement Act, which prohibits the sale of any device that is used "for the stimulation of human genital organs."

Yes, that's right dear lovers of Rabbits, Magic Wands, Power Dancers, and Ms. Piglets, the Heart of Dixie wants to make the electrical orgasm illegal.

I want my pig back!

God bless JD Crowe! Go read his blog entry and leave him some love in the comments! Muchas Gracias for the mention JD!

Ok, first things first. I want my piglet back. She looks forlorn and left out. I did not gift Troy with her so that he could abuse and neglect her. With all the money he makes and compared with the incredible amount of money he pays his other 'aides' Ms. Piglet should have made enough to have her own air conditioned ranch, a nice car and a litter of fat little King piggies by now. Troy, have your biological weapons clean up team decontaminate Trixie and I'll come by and pick her up next week. Make sure you get all the DNA off because I will seek to use every molecular strand against you in Trixie's alimony case.

Second, I love the money poking out of the blow up dolls back pocket. The SALARIES pants poked up its ass, as though some semi-long, cylindrical object was just there says it all.

MUHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

J.D. Crowe is AWESOME!!

More Lampooning of Troy King

In tomorrow's Press-Register editorial toon section.

This just in from JD Crowe

Y'all remember this blast from the past, and now you've got a taste of what's on the griddle for tomorrow...talk amongst yourselves.

The massive time gulf between now and tomorrow will seem longer than Christmas to Christmas. I won't sleep a wink tonight! The possibilities are nearly endless.

My first guess is that he is gonna 'Roger Waters' that pig. Any true Pink Floyd fan will get what I am referring to there. Alas, I don't think the editorial board will let him get away with that. Letting JD get away with drawing Troy's hand up that pig's ass is one thing...but allowing him to print a 'Roger Waters' version of the pig would just be too much. But, hell, a girl can dream, can't she?

Oh Boy!! I can't wait!!!

Troy King still refusing to deny rumors

Last night I joined Larry Barton again for his radio show in Talladega. Larry mentioned that an NBC 13 reporter cornered Troy King at a police graduation ceremony yesterday in Anniston and asked him about rumors that he is about to resign. Troy refused to answer saying that he was there to talk about the police. Did anyone else see this clip on NBC 13 news yesterday evening?

Glad to see the media is still trying to get to the bottom of this story. I'm starting to wonder if Troy King is, in some perverse way, enjoying all of this extra media attention. He sure doesn't seem to be in any hurry to put the rumors to rest. I know the argument that as long as he neither confirms nor denies the rumors that the media doesn't have a handle to write the story. But, really, which is more damaging? A media story where he denies that he is gay and moves on with business or having these rumors out there, festering and swirling with no denial at all?

Montgomery Advertiser to cover Troy King's salary

This is old news in the blogosphere but, apparently, Troy King has come up for air. The Montgomery Advertiser will run an interview of Troy King by the AP's Phillip Rawls tomorrow about the astronomical amount of money the King makes. Here is the teaser.

Alabama Attorney General Makes a Pretty Penny

Alabama is poor, but Attorney General Troy King isn’t.
King, a Republican, earns about $164,000 a year, second only to his California counterpart Jerry Brown. Brown’s pay is $184,000.
The state of New York, like California, is known for a big population, a bigger cost of living and a much bigger burden of caseloads in state courts. Its attorney general comes in a distant third at $155,500.
Alabama’s top law enforcement officer rakes in more than four times as much as an average state taxpayer, almost $50,000 more than an average state attorney general and about two-thirds more than a run-of-the mill lawyer.
The attorney general’s salary is tied to the salaries of associate justices on the Alabama Supreme Court — and they do all right, too. Their salaries rank seventh among American justices.

Waiting for the other high-heeled, red leather, spurred, cowboy boot to drop

Danny over at Doc's says there was a Troy King press conference planned for today but that it has been canceled because the Birmingham News didn't run a story about the rumors yesterday as planned.

So, they were actually going to run a story? But they decided not to? I'd be real interested in knowing the how and why of that.

Guess we're still waiting for the other high-heeled, red leather, cowboy boot to drop.....the suspense is KILLING me!

In the meantime Left in Alabama has an interesting piece on Troy King's Salary

And the Troy King Gay Watch Continues

It's Monday morning and still no MSM on the very unsettling rumors flying around the internet about Alabama Attorney General Troy King.

Here are some new tidbits though. According to commenter's over at Doc's Political Parlor

#33 says, "King’s trial lawyer friends are working over time to preserve their strangle hold on litigation against drug companies. King was supposed to meet with one company on Friday, but sent his deputy. The trial lawyers are concerned that if King leaves, they will lose out."

It was also stated that King was expected to be at the District Attorney's convention in South Alabama this weekend but was a no show. Someone also pointed out that it's no secret that King and the Alabama DA's don't get along to well so maybe that is why he didn't show up.

I am waiting on word from someone who attends church with him at First Baptist in Montgomery to tell us whether he was there with his family or not yesterday. You know he teaches a Sunday School class of 3 year-olds? His not being at church is not telling in and of itself....I mean I used to lie on Sunday morning so I could stay home and watch 'Wild Kingdom'...maybe he does too! I would have gone to Montgomery and seen for myself if he was at church or not....but I only go to church for weddings and funerals. Plus, everyone in Alabama politics knows me by sight...I wouldn't be a bit surprised if Troy has a photo of me on the back of his office door to throw darts at....so I couldn't go and be just a new visitor and blend in and I don't want to offend the sanctity of church to other people by showing up just to spy on Troy King.

I'm not ready to call it either way. Some bloggers have backed away from covering this and apologized for their part in it. I, myself, don't see anything wrong with discussing rumors that you hear in your circles, especially ones like this, and I still think that there is likely to be something to it. The silence from the MSM who are reported to be working on this is a real red flag to me. That and the fact that the discussion has raged on some Alabama newspaper forums unchecked says something too. All of the forums that I have seen it on are heavily moderated and usually really racy stuff like this get yanked and the user banned for a short period of time.

I do want to say that the comments about Troy King's wife and children were uncalled for. I admit that I laughed at a couple of them on other sites (I'm human and have a depraved sense of humor) but felt for the most part they were way off base. His family hasn't done anything to deserve those and I feel badly for them, especially if this turns out to be true. I have not allowed anyone commenting on here to post things about his wife and kids. I won't allow it either so don't try....the comments will be deleted.

So, it's another day of tick...tock....tick....tock....tick....tock

John McCain Website Scrubs Mention of Troy King

UPDATED HERE

There are some bloggers who are backing away from the Troy King story. But, I ain't one of them. This is too rich and keeps getting richer. Instead of dying out when the MSM stories never materialized in Alabama this thing has only gotten bigger. I (like mooncat at LIA) have seen an upsurge in traffic that is comparable only to when the "Cleavage Campaign" hit the mainstream media and I was #1 on Countdown with Keith Olbermann. Mooncat also notes that media from all over the country are following this story. I can confrim from my own traffic that this is true. I know that in the last few days my site has seen traffic from the Washington Post, NYT, nearly every paper in Alabama, CNN, MSNBC and on and on. This'uns HOT!

According to Left in Alabama and Fishbowl America Republican presidential nominee John McCain has scrubbed his site of any mention of Troy King. Search the site for yourself. I did. I came up empty on a number of different searches. And that's news worthy because Troy King IS Campaign Chair for the state of Alabama for McCain. But you won't find the Official campaign news release anywhere but google cache. Fishbowl America has a nice screen shot of it before it was taken down. (Great job Fishbowl!!)

Hey sukey, sukey what's the deal with Camp McCain taking down the news release? I certainly won't buy that it is coincidence.

Another reason I am not backing down from this is the complete and utter lack of denial coming from the AG's office. Sure, it could be said that this is a case of "Make the Bastard deny it!" but if someone accuses you of doing something that you didn't do, then what is the first thing you do? You say, "No I didn't" or "You lying sacks of shit quit gossipin" or even, "Prove it!"....although that last one is a little more dangerous in this case. You don't just let people talk smack about you and not say anything. Especially if you are the Attorney General of a very red, totally anti-gay state and what is being said is that you, yourself, are in fact, gay. Those kinds of rumors down here could very well ruin a career.

I know that lack of denial isn't proof of guilt...and that the accused are supposed to be innocent until proven guilty (yeah....like the accused in this case has been leading by example...remember his refusal to afford DNA testing to death row inmates?)...but it further serves to feed the rumor mill. I mean at least with the blow-up pig King's office acknowledged it after a while. And you have to admit this is much bigger and carries much more serious implications than a blow-up pig.

Then there's the complete and utter lack of denial coming from individual news media personalities and MSM newspapers in Alabama that have been named as 'about to print stories'. I mean seems to me like some of the ones that have been named in this thing would at least say, "We don't print gossip" or "You fibbers...I never said any such thing" or "We're not wasting our time on any such filth". But all we are getting is deafening silence.

So, I'm sticking with this thing.

Latex in Mongomery

My friend Bob Kincaid has been keeping up with the Sex Toys for Troy King and the erotic asphyxiation death of Reverend Gary Aldridge and he put together this song called "Latex in Montgomery'. It is done to the tune of "Angel from Montgomery" by John Prine and Iris DeMent. It is HYSTERICAL! I added images so that I could upload it here.

Damn! I can't quit singing it. It's so catchy!

Send me a dildo
I can't buy one in Montgomery
Send me a sex toy
But the deacons can't know
